Acadience Reading Pre-K: PELI Mentoring

The Acadience Reading Pre-K: PELI Mentoring Training Workshop is a half-day (4 instructional hours) training designed to provide the necessary knowledge and understanding to become an Acadience PELI Mentor. The Mentor training is facilitated by certified Acadience trainers. The workshop focuses on understanding the role of a mentor, training others to administer and score the PELI, ways to consider and plan for the logistics of data collection, and how to support data analysis within your local context. This workshop is for teachers, administrators, and other educators and instructional leaders interested in using PELI data to improve early literacy and language skills for preschool children in order to promote later reading outcomes.
The Mentoring training uses an interactive, practice-driven training format. Following the live day of training, the completion of New Mentor Orientation will be required to receive credential.
Mentors will renew their certification annually.
The cost of the workshop is $249 plus processing & handling fees.Note: Pricing is in USD. For those checking out with a Purchase Order (PO) and who prefer local currency, please prepare the PO with the current exchange rate and include any applicable local taxes.
Registration for the Acadience Reading Pre-K: PELI Mentoring Workshop includes a training workbook. It will be shipped upon verification of pre-requisites.
Prerequisites: Participants must have completed the Acadience Reading Pre-K: PELI Essential Workshop and Acadience Reading Pre-K: PELI Data Interpretation Workshop at least three weeks before the Acadience Reading Pre-K: PELI Mentoring Workshop. How will I know if I am eligible to attend the workshop? Acadience Learning will review registrant eligibility. A member of the professional learning team will reach out if there are any questions or additional information is needed. Eligibility includes:
I would like to become an Acadience Reading Pre-K: PELI Mentor, but I haven't completed the prerequisite workshops. What are my options? Acadience Learning provides the Acadience Reading Pre-K: PELI Essential workshop in an asynchronous, self-paced format. The Acadience Reading Pre-K: PELI Data Interpretation Workshop is currently offer live online; asynchronous option available soon. Contact [email protected] for information about Acadience Reading Pre-K: Data Interpretation registration. If both workshops are completed one week before the Mentoring Workshop, the registrant will be verified to attend.
What if I was trained by a local trainer and not Acadience Learning? The Acadience Professional Learning team will verify your trainer is an Acadience Reading Pre-K: PELI Mentor and then will send you a knowledge assessment to verify your participation. To be verified, a candidate will be given up to three attempts to complete the assessment.
When will registrants receive their training materials? Once registrants are verified, Acadience Learning will ensure participants receive their log-in information, training materials, etc.
We need to pay with a purchase order. Who should we make the purchase order out to and where do we send it? Your purchase order (PO) should be issued to Acadience Learning Inc., 207 E. 5th Avenue, Suite 235, Eugene, OR 97401. Please submit your PO via email to [email protected].
We are paying with a purchase order, when do you need to receive it? Purchase orders should be received within 5 business days of your registration in order to confirm registrant(s) space in the workshop.
